Can You Believe in the Resurrection? | Gospel of the Kingdom

What We Believe:
It is logical to believe in Jesus and specifically in the resurrection.
Jesus saying “Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed” is meant to be an encouragement to us, not an expectation for believers to have blind faith.
We are to “test everything” and “hold fast to what is good”.
There are extra biblical sources, written by unbelievers in Jesus’ day, such as Flavius Josephus, documenting the existence of Jesus, that he had died by crucifixion, and that his disciples had claimed they had seen him risen from the dead.
Most serious modern scholars, such as Bart Ehrman, acknowledge that Jesus’ existence and crucifixion are undeniable facts, even though they are unbelievers.
The disciples didn’t gain anything of worldly significance, and all died for their beliefs, but people don’t willingly go through that for what they know is a lie.
All alternative theories for the resurrection have been disproven by scholars and the only explanation they admittedly offer for their unbelief is that it’s illogical to believe in miracles.
Jesus wants us to take the good evidence and have faith based on that. It only requires that we believe in miracles and that we put our faith in God.
