“Make Disciples who Hear God’s Voice…
Beyond Wellspring

From Our Neighborhood

ADOPT A MISSION

Wellspring believes that Missions is a Lifestyle.

It is a way of living that Makes Disciples everywhere we go.

Therefore, our Missions Ministry exists to stoke the fires of evangelism in your everyday life by:

[1] TEACHING - Wellspring leadership will teach how to Make Disciples beyond Wellspring in our Large Gatherings, including our Sunday services, and at in our small groups.

[2] ADOPTING A MISSION - Wellspring Missions Ministry will provide ongoing opportunities to engage in making disciples beyond Wellspring through partnership with Wellspring’s Ministry Partners.

ADOPT A MISSION

We believe Adopting a Mission Means:

KNOW

PRAY

GIVE

GO

————

KNOW - Commit to stay informed on your adopted ministry’s happenings

PRAY - Commit to engage in regular & specific prayer for your ministry

GIVE - Ask the Lord how He would have you give towards your ministry

GO - Ask the Lord how He would have you volunteer for your ministry

Local Ministry
from our neighborhood

It is our desire that our local Body of Believers at Wellspring lives on mission to Make Disciples who Hear God’s Voice in the midst of our local community. We believe our mission is mobile and can fit into every family gathering, friends get together, and workplace environment…but sometimes we need a jumpstart to plug into and impact our community. So, in tandem with your personal efforts to Make Disciples where you live and work, we’ve provided opportunities to connect with several Local Missions that we stand behind as a church.

Take a look & consider which mission the Lord’s calling you to Adopt…

Non-Local Ministry
to the nations

Christ called us in Matthew 28 to take the Gospel beyond our local context. We believe that Wellspring is called Making Disciples who Hear God’s Voice in the nations and we want you to join us in this high call of heaven! We’ve partnered with several trusted organizations that Make Disciples across the globe and we would love for you to consider adopting a Mission in the Nations for yourself.

How is God calling you to Make Disciples in the Nations?

Community Enrichment Center C.E.C.

For 35 years, the CEC has been a partner in change for Tarrant low-income neighbors.

The CEC has continued to grow and expand our services to assist and empower victims of family violence, homeless and low-income families and seniors across Tarrant County.

Today, the CEC works directly with these families and individuals to move them out of crisis and into stability through employment readiness,  high school equivalency, financial coaching, safe housing, food and basic necessities. These tools and Christ-centered resources help the CEC coaching staff to restore hope and share God’s love while guiding families toward a bright future which will end their cycle of poverty and/or family violence.

I Can Still Shine

Brenda Jackson founded the first Battered Women’s program in 1995 and works daily to give women and children from abusive environments hope they doubted was possible. In 2011 she Founded I Can Still Shine to help even more women and children who had been abused.

In twenty-nine years of ministry, she has helped over 16,500 women and children leave violent homes. Not one life has been lost as far as we know. Her program focuses on showing people God’s love and providing community support.

Wellspringers can get involved in I Can Still Shine through their monthly events or by donating needed items to support battered women & their families.

Kairos Prison Ministry

The history of Kairos began with the first three day “short course in Christianity” inside Union Correctional Institution at Raiford, Florida in the fall of 1976. It was called Cursillo in Prison.

By 1978, six states were presenting a Cursillo short course in prisons.

Today Kairos Inside, Kairos Outside, and Kairos Torch are supported by a staff of 10 and have more than 30,000 volunteers donating three (3) million hours of service each year.

These volunteers serve in more than 500 correctional institutions and 86 communities in 37 states and 9 countries: Costa Rica, Australia, Canada, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Nicaragua, Peru, South Africa and the United Kingdom.

Widows & Orphans Network

Chuck & Vickie Watson started a ministry called “My Father’s Work”. It exists to defend the cause of those in need. Wellspring partners with this ministry 2x per year by hosting their “Ranch Day” for widows and single mothers + their children. We set-up all kinds of fun activities, serve lunch, share the Gospel, and pray + minister to those that gathered. It is truly amazing to see how God blesses and moves through these special Saturdays.

While Wellspring adopts 2 Saturdays a year, they host “Ranch Days” every 1st Saturday of the month and volunteers are always needed!

Many Wellspringers already join on these 1st Saturdays!

MiCaf & D.M.M.
CUBA

In 2013, Norlen started his very first church in Cuba called MiCaf. He felt led to reach a struggling nation with the power of the Gospel.

One year later, he & 7 leaders started a movement called Disciple Makers Movement or DMM for short. This movement calls for believers to start small groups in non believers homes and walk through the Bible together through a simple and easy to practice Bible Study method.

Only 2 months later, they had already started 521 groups in their city. After seeing a move of the Lord in their city, they took the mission to the rest of Cuba.

Today, we've started 15,000 small groups across Cuba & started 3,000 churches…and last year alone, they baptized over 5,000 people.

Mission Barnabas
KENYA

Former Lead Pastor of Wellspring - Ronnie Matheny &
his wife Debbie Matheny - felt called to take over Ronnie’s father’s longtime ministry in Kenya called C.M.M. [known as Mission Barnabas in the US] in 2003. With the blessing of the Elders, the Mathenys moved to Kenya and took up the regional ministry of training & equipping pastors in East Africa.

Every year, C.M.M. hosts a pastors conference to unite, train, encourage, and teach pastors converging from the entire continent of Africa. For the last couple of years, Wellspring has sent a team over to support and receive from the conference…and we would love for you to join us on our next trip in March!

Reclamation Church
DENVER

Long-time friend & former member of our Wellspring, Michael Miller [who happens to also co-host on a little podcas, planted Reclamation Church in 2020 in the midst of the COVID crisis. The city of Denver is a significantly post-church culture that desperately needs the power of the Word and the Spirit to transform lives and influence the city.

Reclamation is a Non-Denominational Protestant Church in Denver, Colorado. Their heart is to see Jesus’ vision to advance the Kingdom of God through fulfilling The Great Commission and being faithful to the Great Commandments. They are committed as a family to help equip the saints for the works of ministry. They maintain that by helping believers to discover their gifts and begin to minister effectively in them they aid in ministry to the family of God and making disciples. In doing so they are committed to passing down the doctrines of the faith as they’ve been historically maintained and entrusted to each generation of believers.
