What Is Easter All About?
From the most faithful saint, to the most faithless skeptic, to the most ancient empire, to the most distant galaxy – the resurrection of Jesus Christ eternally affects all of these things. Such a grand event deserves a grand celebration, and that’s why Wellspring will celebrate Jesus’ resurrection with an entire “Easter Experience.” The Experience will begin on “Good Friday” (April 10), and it will last until the following Friday (April 17). Each element of the Easter Experience is designed to help you enter in to that moment, two thousand years ago, when everything changed.
Friday, April 11th Passover Seder
On this special good Friday at 6:30pm, we will remember the sacrifice of Jesus by keeping a Jewish Passover, called a “Passover Seder.” Together, we will share all the real elements of a Passover meal, each of which has symbolic significance, related both to Israel’s history and to Jesus Christ’s crucifixion. We will be led and instructed by Kim Kingsriter, a Jewish Christian who oversees this ministry for Gateway.
The meal will cost $15/person, with a cap of $50 per family. Bring the whole family – childcare for 5 and under.
Easter Sunday!
This is the big day!
The day that Jesus emerged from the grave – not as a ghost, but as a living, breathing, human being. The significance of this day cannot be overstated. During both of our services (9 and 10:30am), we will have several special elements to help us “punctuate” the meaning of Easter. Our hope is for each person to leave, not only feeling practically encouraged, but also, feeling powerfully impacted by the weightiness of resurrection.

Friday, April 17th Stories & Songs
Our last day of celebration (and feasting!) will be the week after Good Friday, at 6:30pm. While the Good Friday Passover will have more of a somber feel, Stories and Song will have an entirely celebratory feel – HE IS RISEN! Some of our members will share stories of Jesus’ resurrection power working in their lives, and afterward we’ll celebrate with Communion, and with song.
